Aspire’s mission is to use knowledge and experience to help caregivers and educators maximize potential, minimize barriers, and optimize the environment for neurodivergent children using evidenced-based, trauma-informed strategies.
The Goal
Our goal is to provide caregivers with knowledge and strategies to increase these skills.
- Self-Sufficiency – confidently and effectively support their child.
- Self-Efficacy – believe change is possible and challenges can be managed.
- Self-Management – make informed decisions and set goals, monitor progress
- Personal Agency – changes are a result of efforts and actions, not chance
- Problem-Solving – identify problems and solutions
The Components
Key components of our coaching include the following.
- Authentic Learning Experiences – Learn how to use naturally occurring routines and challenges to practice targeted skills and intervention strategies.
- Collaborative Decision-Making – Work with BCBA to identify barriers, skills, and interventions to target.
- Demonstration – Intervention strategies will be modeled before the caregiver implements them.
- Feedback – Feedback will be used throughout coaching to assist in the implementation of intervention strategies.
- Reflection – Caregivers will use self-evaluation to assess their performance and progress.
